Feedback on Samples & Unassembled Shipping Soon!
Seamstress Sample Review
The rolled hem we were trying to achieve for the bags is not up to par using my machine or the Seamstress’ industrial machine. I have been awaiting samples before I began to assemble the September bags to be sure I exhausted all options to obtain premier finishes for the bag. The 15 pre-sold, assembled clutches for September will remain as originally sold with a raw edge for you to finish with a binding stitch. You can do in a color to match your design or a tan one like I did to keep your bag in tact but not distract from the design process. I will be finishing my edges with leather using a professional finishing service.
Manufacturer Sample Review
The sample from the manufacturer is close, but not there. They also did not achieve the rolled hem. We have discussed modifications that need to be made to their product and will be trying again. Until I have either the seamstress team or a manufacturer able to assist in production, I will not be able to meet the October pre order demand. I am hopeful one of these two options will be successful as we work through various iterations.
Upcoming Products
Violet & Charlotte
These two ladies were such a dream to create. It truly is a joy to sit down and try to bring my visions to life. But it is absolute bliss to have you fall in love with them as much as I do! I am overwhelmed, overjoyed and so very thankful you are all on this needlepoint sojourn with me.
Stitch Along
The Cherries …and her fruity companions
The cherries are stitched, but we have her background to complete. I will film by next week and post for you to see what I choose! I filmed the cherry stitching over 4 Reels on Instagram. You can start with the first here:
That’s it for now.
I will be busy starting tomorrow assembling Septembers bags and hope to have them finished in 2 weeks or less so they can be in your hands very soon. The unassembled canvases are ready to go, just awaiting the hardware that is set to arrive Monday!
xo,
Heather Rae
